About PWO

People Welfare Organization (PWO) is a registered humanitarian non-profit based in Lahore, Pakistan. We uplift vulnerable communities — especially orphans, widows, and the unemployed — through sustainable programs in healthcare, clean water, skills development, hunger relief, and emergency response.

PWO was founded by Mr. Fawad Ur Rehman, who serves as Chairman & Founder. The organization is led day-to-day by Mr. Sajjad Ur Rehman Rai, President & CEO, together with an independent Board of Governance.

Yes. PWO is registered with Punjab Charity Commission, Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP), and the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR). Registration documents are available on our Credentials and Registration pages.

We also have regional offices in Islamabad, Azad Jammu & Kashmir, Multan, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Layyah, Karachi, and Bhakkar.

PWO publishes annual audit reports, maintains registration with government regulatory bodies, and operates under an independent Board of Governance. Our Audit Reports are publicly accessible on our website. Every donor deserves full visibility into how funds are used.

Donations

You can donate through our secure online portal at pwopak.org/donate. You can also donate via bank transfer or visit our Lahore head office. For large donations, email info@pwopak.org.

Yes. You can direct your donation to any specific cause:

Yes. Our donation platform uses SSL encryption and a secure payment gateway to protect your personal and financial information. Your data is never shared with third parties.

Yes. After completing your donation you will receive an email confirmation. For an official tax certificate or donation receipt, contact info@pwopak.org with your transaction reference number.

PWO is registered with FBR. Donations to registered charities may qualify for tax benefits under Pakistani tax law. Consult your tax advisor or contact us for the latest information on tax exemption status.

Yes, we welcome support from donors worldwide. International contributions can be made through our online portal. For large international transfers, please contact info@pwopak.org and our team will guide you through the process.

Aqua Care addresses the critical need for clean and safe drinking water in underserved communities. PWO installs handpumps, water filtration systems, and community water points in remote and low-income areas. Learn more on the Aqua Care page.

Wali Dastarkwan is our hunger relief initiative providing free daily meals to daily-wage labourers and families who cannot afford regular food. Your donation directly puts food on the table for the most vulnerable people in our communities.

Qasb-e-Hunar is our empowerment program providing vocational skills training and employment opportunities to individuals struggling to support their families. Participants gain marketable trade skills to achieve financial independence — sustainable transformation, not temporary charity.

Our Disaster Relief program rapidly mobilizes to provide food ration bags, clean water, temporary shelter, medical aid, and essential supplies to families affected by floods, earthquakes, and other emergencies. We also support long-term recovery and rebuilding. See the Disaster Relief page.

Yes. Our Orphan Care program provides comprehensive support covering education, nutrition, healthcare, and emotional well-being for orphaned children. To sponsor an orphan, visit the Orphan Care page.

Volunteering

Visit our Become a Volunteer page and fill in the registration form. Our team will reach out to match you with opportunities that suit your skills, location, and availability.

Not at all. What matters most is your passion to serve. PWO volunteers come from all walks of life — students, professionals, retirees, and homemakers. Whether your skills are in healthcare, teaching, logistics, social media, or event management, there is a place for you at PWO.

Yes. We offer both field-based and remote volunteering opportunities. Remote volunteers can assist with social media management, content creation, fundraising outreach, data entry, and graphic design. Register on our volunteer page and let us know your preference.

Yes. Active volunteers who complete a defined engagement period are eligible for a volunteer experience letter and certificate of appreciation from PWO. Please discuss this with your volunteer coordinator when you join.

Partnerships & Memberships
